Portability, stable enrichment media, and easy-to-handle swabs and sponges are designed to test for a wide variety of potential hazards and deliver exceptionally accurate results. Sample collection products from 3M are a crucial part of this approach to identify potential food-borne hazards and pinpoint where they reside. The Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) approach is the most widely accepted food safety management protocol worldwide.
SPONGE HIGHLIGHT CAP ISO
This product is made in the USA with globally sourced materials and is ISO 9001:2008 certified for quality assurance. They are decontaminated through gamma irradiation for long shelf life. The 3M™ Sponge-Stick also comes with a 3M™ Sample Bag that will accommodate 30 oz/0.89 L capacity to hold the sponge for safe, convenient transportation to the lab.

Its cellulose material is absorbent and will effectively hold and release the sample without excess dripping. The pre-moistened sponge is durable and biocide-free and does not affect organism viability.
SPONGE HIGHLIGHT CAP FREE
Once placed inside the collection bag, the sponge snaps free from the handle to allow for easy handling and transportation. The stick also features a thumb-stop to help negate contact with the sponge. The stick also helps access hard-to-reach areas and to collect the sample without directly handling the sponge, making it ideal for reaching into drains, pipes, and around equipment. The 3M™ Sponge-Stick allows a worker to collect samples without touching the inside of the bag, helping to maintain sample integrity. This 1.5 x 3 inch biocide-free cellulose sponge is mounted at one end of a stick and pre-hydrated with a Letheen Broth diluent for collecting samples. To avoid getting pregnant, you do not have sex on or around the days you are fertile, or you use a barrier method of birth control. The 3M™ Sponge-Stick with 10 mL Letheen Broth uses simplified packaging to minimize handling and preparation, and reduce waste. These methods focus on knowing which days of the month you are able to get pregnant (fertile), often based on basal body temperature and cervical mucus. You put these products in the vagina right before sex. Vaginal pH regulator gel (Phexxi) stops sperm from moving, so they can't get to an egg to fertilize it. Spermicide is a type of contraceptive that kills sperm or stops it from moving. These are nonhormonal options for birth control.

Examples include tubal ligation for women and vasectomy for men. This is a permanent method of birth control. These are considered long-acting methods because they last for three to 10 years after insertion - depending on the device - or until you decide to have the device removed. Examples include the copper IUD (ParaGard), the hormonal IUD (Mirena, Skyla, Kyleena, others) and the contraceptive implant (Nexplanon). These are considered short-acting methods because you have to remember to use them on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
SPONGE HIGHLIGHT CAP SKIN
Examples include birth control pills, as well as the vaginal ring (NuvaRing), skin patch (Xulane) and contraceptive injection (Depo-Provera). Examples include male and female condoms, as well as the diaphragm, cervical cap and contraceptive sponge.
